This Week Ended With A Fascinating Announcement By Newport Folk Festival
The Newport Folk Festival continues its lineup announcements and the week ended with an interesting announcement!
The announcements made over the past week are:
New Breed Brass Band – there’s always a good time to be had with a New Orleans brass band!
The Goodbye Girls – a band named after one of my favorite movies has got to be good!
Roger Waters – I did not see this one coming; he will headline the Friday lineup.
Luluc – their 2014 release was named one of the best of the year by the Wall Street Journal
I continue to be thrilled that I have a three-day ticket.
I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on which acts to see, once I know who is performing which day.
At this point, the only remaining type of ticket is the Friday single-day ticket. This is an amazing festival – even going for one day is worth it. Get your tickets now!!!
