I’m a relative newcomer to the Newport Folk Festival. The first year I attended was 2012 and I think it will be a part of my life for years to come.

Last year (I believe), NFF decided to do rolling announcements of the lineup rather than announcing the entire lineup at the same time. It’s part frustrating (because I want to know NOW) but mostly exciting (who’s going to be announced NEXT).

The first announcements were made over the past week.  They are:

Houndmouth

Jenny Lewis

Hurray for the Riff Raff

Shovels and Rope

Nickel Creek

So far, I’m already thrilled that I have a three-day ticket. I’ve seen most of these acts and they’re great.

I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on the acts, once I know who is performing which day.

I saw a tweet that the two-day passes are sold out but they still have single day and three-day passes available. This is an amazing festival – get your tickets now!!!
