Roots Rock This Weekend At Extended Play Sessions

On Saturday, May 24th, you can be part of the audience at Alternate Root TV for an Extended Play Session in Norwood, Massachusetts with Angela Perley & the Howlin’ Moons.

A friend introduced me to Angela’s music last year but we have been looking for a local concert to attend. What better place than at Alternate Root TV!

“The tires hum as Angela Perley & the Howlin’ Moons cruise into Boston and Alt Root Studios from the back roads of Ohio (specifically Athens County). Angela is hitting our studio to film tunes from her most recent album, ‘Hey Kid’, for Extended Play. ‘Hey Kid’ might just be the gold standard for roots rock’n’roll as Angela’s voice curls around the power of the playing. She teases in her delivery, waiting a beat, to drop bombs by the way of one-liners, winks and promises. ‘Hey Kid’ is the first full-length album from Angela Perley & the Howlin’ Moons (following four EPs) since forming in 2009. The Howlin’ Moons explode out of the speakers with a barely contained ferocity tamed by Angela Perley’s smoother seduction.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at approximately 7 p.m. Contact studioconcertseries@gmail.com for further information and to get yourself on the guest list. They request a donation of $25 which covers food, open bar and the show.

About suze72

I've loved the arts all my life... I go to a lot of concerts, take lots of photos and want to share them. Every once in a while I do something other than a concert, too. The Boston area is full of opportunities to indulge my passion - I'd like to help make it yours too!
