The Newport Folk Festival continues its lineup announcements and added even more interesting acts.

The announcements made over the past week are:

Traveller – a new project featuring Cory Chisel (of The Wandering Sons), Jonny Fritz, and Robert Ellis; I love collaborations such as this!

Blake Mills – I thoroughly enjoyed his set two years ago and look forward to seeing him again.

Shakey Graves – I’ve been dying to see him and have either had conflicts or not gotten tickets before the shows sold out! This is awesome news.

Nikki Lane – I saw her once as an opening act and am delighted to know I’ll be able to see her perform a longer set!

So far, I’m already thrilled that I have a three-day ticket.

I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on the acts, once I know who is performing which day.

At this point, the only remaining type of ticket is the Friday single-day ticket. This is an amazing festival – even going for one day is worth it. Get your tickets now!!!

Friday: Haunt the House, Leon Bridges, The Lone Bellow, Bahamas, Heartless Bastards

Saturday:  Courtney Barnett, Sturgill Simpson, Madisen Ward and The Mama Bear, Langhorne Slim & The Law, Brandi Carlile, The Suffers, Traveller, Nikki Lane

Sunday: Field Report, J Mascis, First Aid Kit, The Jones Family Singers, Laura Marling, Blake Mills, Shakey Graves

About suze72

I've loved the arts all my life... I go to a lot of concerts, take lots of photos and want to share them. Every once in a while I do something other than a concert, too. The Boston area is full of opportunities to indulge my passion - I'd like to help make it yours too!
