Newport Folk Festival Line-Up Additions
It keeps on coming! The Newport Folk Festival continues its lineup announcements and added even more interesting acts.
The announcements made over the past week are:
Watkins Family Hour – I’ve heard such good things about them and hope I can see them this year!
Lord Huron – I caught part of their set one year and hope this year I can catch their entire set!
Christopher Paul Stelling – Joe Fletcher loves him, and that’s good enough for me!
José González – I know nothing about this Swedish folksinger but he sounds interesting
So far, I’m already thrilled that I have a three-day ticket.
I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on the acts, once I know who is performing which day.
At this point, the only remaining type of ticket is the Friday single-day ticket. This is an amazing festival – even going for one day is worth it. Get your tickets now!!!

I’m holding my breath for announcement of the first folk artist to be announced.
I know what you mean! but remember George Wein’s explanation of folk music – it’s everything except jazz…
