More Amazing Additions To The Newport Folk Festival Lineup
The Newport Folk Festival continue its lineup announcements and – as expected – they are winners!
The announcements made over the past three weeks are:
The Arcs – This is another band that I look forward to getting to know!
Basia Bulat – Described at Indie, folk, pop, soul: sounds good to me!
Brett Dennen – He is a singer-songwriter who I have been trying to see for a few years.
Margo Price – I love her début album and cannot wait to see her!
John Moreland – He is another artist who I have been dying to see! Thanks, NFF!
The Strumbrellas – This is a Canadian band described as alternative pop with a great name.
Phil Cook presents “Southland Revue” with The Blind Boys of Alabama and Amelia Meath – Anything involving The Blind Boys of Alabama sounds great to me!
Hayes Carll – He is a wonderful songwriter and I am excited to see him again.
Freakwater – I love alt-country music and with a name like this, I know I will love this band.
I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on which acts to see, once I know who is performing which day.
This festival has been sold out for a while. If you go to the festival’s website, there is a place for people to re-sell tickets if you are interested in purchasing some from fans, not scalpers. This is an amazing festival – even going for one day is worth it.
