The Newport Folk Festival Lineup Gets Even Better, As If That Were Possible!
The Newport Folk Festival continue its lineup announcements and – as expected – they are winners!
The announcements made over the past week are:
J.P. Harris – He’s a country artist who is an excellent addition to the lineup. How can you not like an artist with the website URL “i lovehonkytonk”!
Violent Femmes – Honestly, I barely know their music but I am excited to be able to experience this legendary band.
Banditos – More honky-tonk? Yes, please!
I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on which acts to see, once I know who is performing which day.
This festival has been sold out for a while. If you go to the festival’s website, there is a place for people to re-sell tickets if you are interested in purchasing some from fans, not scalpers. This is an amazing festival – even going for one day is worth it.
