Alternate Root TV announced that blues/rock artists Larkin Poe will be in the studio for an Extended Play session on Monday, November 3rd at 7 pm.

“‘We have a very colorful family history,’ explains lead singer/guitarist Rebecca, 23, who also plays mandolin and violin. ‘There were a lot of creative, hot-headed, and intelligent branches that went against the grain in our family tree. Our paternal grandfather suffered from schizophrenia, while our great, great, great, great-grandfather, Larkin Poe, was a Civil War wagon driver turned historian and a distant cousin to Edgar Allen Poe. Growing up with their crazy stories definitely shaded our perception of normal. As artists, I think some of those innate eccentricities, passed down from generation to generation, have been even further exaggerated in us!’ Megan, 25, adds lap steel and dobro to their music.

Needless to say, the night is gonna rock again at Alternate Root TV Studios as the Atlanta-based Larkin Poe comes in to film The Extended Play Sessions on Monday, November 3, 2014. Alternate Root TV is located just 25 minutes from downtown Boston and has free parking right outside the doors! The donation includes good food and an open bar! Oh, you and about 40 other people will received a poster that the artist will sign to hang on your wall! How can you go wrong with that???
