The Extended Play Sessions Present A Funky Way to End 2014’s Concert Year
The Extended Play Sessions American Roots Music Television announced that funk band The Get Right Band will be in the studio for a Session on Monday, December 15th at 7 pm. Sorry for the short notice – this Session sounds like it will be one not to miss.
Get rid of that Holiday Funk!
One of Relix Magazine’s “On The Verge” picks, THE GET RIGHT BAND is “hip-shaking, earthquaking pure funk fun” (The Alternate Root). Combining catchy, clever songwriting with musical expertise and fearless improvisation, the live show promises to make you shake everything you’ve got. From funk to rock n’ roll to reggae, this is a dance party. This is an ass shaking good time.
The band is built on the musical brotherhood that guitarist/vocalist Silas Durocher and bassist Jesse Gentry have formed playing music together since middle school. With the addition of JC Mears, a powerful and dynamic drummer, the group’s sound has become an unstoppable force. The Get Right Band has been touring the East Coast and the Caribbean heavily since their inception in April, 2011. The band has rocked hard and jammed relentlessly every step of the way.
Here’s a video to give you an idea of what’s in store if you attend this Session.
The Get Right Band will be sharing their talent with The Extended Play Sessions as they grace the stage on Monday December 15th to film The Extended Play Sessions. Doors are at 6pm with the show at 7pm and you can be included (for a $25 donation) by contacting them via e-mail at studioconcertseries@gmail.com.
The Extended Play Sessions American Roots Music Television Studio is located just 25 minutes from downtown Boston and has free parking right outside the doors! The donation includes good food and an open bar! Oh, you and about 36 other people will receive a poster that the artist will sign to hang on your wall! How can you go wrong with that???
