A Night of Extraordinary Musical Texture and Harmony
The Extended Play Sessions American Roots Music Television announced that acoustic rock act ilyAIMY will be in the studio for a Session on Thursday, April 9th at 7 pm. As always, this Session sounds like it will be another one not to miss!
Let’s continue our march into Spring 2015 with some wonderful music!
“IlyAIMY (i love you And I Miss You) is a percussive acoustic rock animal hailing from Baltimore, MD. Mixing genres from rock to folk to soul to bluegrass; flavours as varied as jazz and hip hop curl through what is undoubtedly one of the most exciting sounds in today’s folk(ish) music scene. Recently hailed as an audience-voted “Most-Wanted Artist” at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, ilyAIMY combines award-winning songwriting, tight male/female harmonies, signature intricate slap-style guitar work, ukulele, djembe and an eclectically humorous stage show into an exquisite package.
“ilyAIMY ain’t your grandpa’s folk music – and thank goodness. They are fearless writers and performers… Voices this rich and emotionally hard-hitting – equal parts velvet darkness, barely contained heartbreak, and hard-won, unstoppable joy – don’t come around often.” – Pat Wictor, Brother Sun.”`
This is a unique “speakeasy” with very limited seating for just 40 lucky souls; every seat is no more than 25 feet from the stage.
No flash photography or professional video cameras are allowed but you may take photos during the show… just turn off your flash and silence your cameras/phones.
ilyAIMY (I love the name of this band) will be sharing their talent with The Extended Play Sessions as they take the stage on Thursday, April 9th to film The Extended Play Sessions. Doors are at 6pm with the show at 7pm and you can be included (for a $25 donation) by contacting them via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also purchase a ticket online here. All guests are “invitation only” courtesy of the Extended Play Sessions. Guests are invited to enjoy complimentary food from the legendary buffet, complimentary beverages including beer, wine, soft drinks and mixed adult beverages. Beverages and food are available during the filming as well.
The Extended Play Sessions American Roots Music Television Studio is located just 25 minutes from downtown Boston in Norwood, Massachusetts (minutes off I-95 and Route 1) and has free parking right outside the doors! The $25 donation includes good food and an open bar! Oh, you and about 39 other people will receive a poster that the artist will sign to hang on your wall!
