How Much Better Can The Newport Folk Festival Line-Up Get???
Posted by suze72
The Newport Folk Festival continues its lineup announcements and added even more interesting acts.
The announcements made over the past week are:
Wildwood – This will be on the Museum Stage all weekend; sometimes magical things happen there…
The Barr Brothers – I love this band and am excited for them to make their debut at the Festival!
Andy Shauf – I know nothing about him but if he’s good enough to get to the Festival, that’s all I need to know!
Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn – I love their collaboration! Partners in life and in music!
Rodrigo Amarante – I also know nothing about him, but he recently supported Neko Case on tour and that’s a ringing endorsement.
I continue to be thrilled that I have a three-day ticket.
I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on the acts, once I know who is performing which day.
At this point, the only remaining type of ticket is the Friday single-day ticket. This is an amazing festival – even going for one day is worth it. Get your tickets now!!!
