The Newport Folk Festival continues its lineup announcements and the week included another interesting-sounding collaboration!

The announcements made over the past week are:

Jon Batiste – I have seen Jon only on the HBO series Treme and am excited to see him in person!

Treasures from the Archive Roadshow: Celebrating Alan Lomax & The Folk Music Collections at the Library of Congress – this features the Down Hill Strugglers as well as Dom Flemons and John Cohen of the New Lost City Ramblers.

I continue to be thrilled that I have a three-day ticket.

I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on which acts to see, once I know who is performing which day.

At this point, the only remaining type of ticket is the Friday single-day ticket. This is an amazing festival – even going for one day is worth it. Get your tickets now!!!

About suze72

I've loved the arts all my life... I go to a lot of concerts, take lots of photos and want to share them. Every once in a while I do something other than a concert, too. The Boston area is full of opportunities to indulge my passion - I'd like to help make it yours too!
