See The Fabulous Shun Ng & The Shunettes

One of my favorite up-and-coming acts, Shun Ng & The Shunettes, are performing at the Chevalier Theatre in Medford on February 18th! This show is part of the theatre’s On Stage! series, where the audience sits at tables on the stage facing the auditorium and the artists are also on the stage.

Virtuoso fingerstyle-guitarist and vocalist, Shun Ng, is a Boston Music Award and Songwriters Hall of Fame ‘Holly Prize’ winner. As one of this generation’s most dynamic and innovative performers, he has earned accolades from some of the industry’s most respected figures, most notably Quincy Jones. “You won’t believe your eyes nor your ears, Shun belies all stereotypes, all premonitions. I was simply blown away by both his soul and his science – his creativity and his uniqueness is astounding.” – Quincy Jones.

Bringing the traditions of the Motown-era to the 21st century, Shun Ng & the Shunettes create an explosive musical experience with flamboyant technique, vibrant vocals, and hypnotic groove.

Taking root in Soul, Gospel, Funk, and Jazz, they redefine the conventional expectation of the background vocalist. By pushing the boundaries of the human voice, they convey the impression of wider instrumentation, from horn lines to strings to percussion.

The Chevalier Theatre is located at 30 Forest Street in Medford, Massachusetts. Click on the link for Info & Tickets.

About suze72

I've loved the arts all my life... I go to a lot of concerts, take lots of photos and want to share them. Every once in a while I do something other than a concert, too. The Boston area is full of opportunities to indulge my passion - I'd like to help make it yours too!
