Fabulous Evening Of Americana Music Coming To The Chevalier Theatre

The On Stage! concert series at the Chevalier Theatre in Medford, MA is pleased to welcome a triple-bill of the Boston-area’s finest Americana performers: Honeysuckle, Aurora Birch and Damn Tall Buildings on Saturday, May 13th at 8:00 pm.

This is a wonderful intimate experience and will be a great way to celebrate spring! I know all three bands quite well and am excited to see them all in one show. Everyone needs to come to this show!

“Honeysuckle- composed of Holly McGarry, Benjamin Burns, and Chris Bloniarz- is a highly-respected progressive folk act that successfully blends older influences and traditional instrumentation with modern effects and inspiration. They are Boston Music Awards 2016 nominee for Best Americana and Best Folk Artist and Americana/Roots Act of the Year as well as Big Red’s Red Line Roots’ 2016 Album Of The Year.

“Chicago native and Berklee College of Music graduate Aurora Birch is a folk-rock singer/ songwriter based in the greater Boston area. She specializes in heartfelt, contemplative songwriting, weaving purposefully through the spectrum of nonsense and lucidity, of infinite and infinitesimal, of delicately fanciful and brutally blunt. As a performer, Aurora composes remarkably captivating moments that extend to every seat in the house. With a perfect pairing of singer and song, she exudes an undeniable magnetism on stage.

“Damn Tall Buildings is a dynamic quartet that started off by street performing on Newbury St. in Boston and eventually developed the fully-immersive and truly electrifying performance style for which they are known today. DTB has performed at numerous venues and festivals across the continental U.S. – most recently including Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Podunk Bluegrass Festival, Bluegrass On The Bogs, Vinegrass, Freshgrass Festival (where they were awarded 2nd place in the 2016 band competition).

For the On Stage! concert series, the theater is transformed into an intimate, coffeehouse-style venue by placing both the performer and the audience on stage together. With this set up, the venue capacity is approximately 100 people, creating a unique setting to get up-close and personal with world-class musicians.

I've loved the arts all my life... I go to a lot of concerts, take lots of photos and want to share them. Every once in a while I do something other than a concert, too. The Boston area is full of opportunities to indulge my passion - I'd like to help make it yours too!
