Yes, folk family, tickets for the Newport Folk Festival go on sale this morning, November 29th at 10am!
Click here to go to Eventbrite for tickets! The two- and three-day passes will sell out very quickly; three-day passes usually sell out in under one hour. Even if you don’t know if you can go, buy them because the Festival has a fan-to-fan ticket exchange.
It is one of my favorite times of the year. The music is always amazing (thank you, Jay Sweet and his team), the vibe is terrific, and the crowds generally very well-behaved.

Well, if I was still living in the area I’d either go see Damn Tall Buildings at Lizard Lounge or Dwight and Nicole at Regattabar. There’s also Deer Tick at the Sinclair, Ellis Paul at Passim, and Roomful of Blues at Bull Run.
