More Fabulous Artists Added To The Newport Folk Festival Lineup
The Newport Folk Festival continues its rolling lineup announcements with more excellent artists!
The announcements made over the past two weeks are:
Colter Wall – I have not seen this artist yet but friends whose opinions I trust love him so I cannot wait to see him!
Rachael & Vilray – You may not know this duo yet, but you will after they play NFF! They brought tears to my eyes when I saw them last summer…
The War and Treaty – This is another band I have not yet seen but friends flip over them (I know they were a huge hit on this year’s Cayamo cruise) so I am excited to see them!
Bedouine – This artist is unfamiliar to me so I am looking forward to being introduced to her music.
Gary Clark Jr. – My first time seeing him was at his NFF début and he thrilled the crowd! I expect more of the same!
Darlingside – One of my favorite bands is finally coming to NFF! I see them every chance I get and they never fail to impress me and the rest of their audiences! Do not miss this set!
I plan to post the announcements weekly until NFF has completed the entire lineup. At that point, I might offer my opinions on which acts to see, once I know who is performing which day.
At this point, the Festival is sold out; the right way to try to purchase a ticket is through their fan-to-fan ticket exchange. Get yourself on the waiting list – I know a lot of people who were able to purchase tickets last year through this site. This is an amazing festival – even going for one day is worth it. Get on the list now!!!
Friday: Fantastic Negrito, Sturgill Simpson, Rachael & Vilray, Darlingside
