The Lowell Summer Music Series Announces Grammy-Winning Colbie Caillat

The Lowell Summer Music Series is bringing two-time Grammy® award winner Colbie Caillat & Gone West to the stage at Boarding House Park on Friday, July 12th. I do not know anything about her other than her name, so I look forward to getting to know a new artist under the stars!

Gone West is a new Nashville-based band featuring 2-Time Grammy Award Winner Colbie Caillat, multi-platinum singer/songwriter Jason Reeves, 4-time Hawaii Music Award Winner Justin Kawika Young and ACM and CMT nominated artist Nelly Joy.

“Caillat, who has sold more than 20 million singles worldwide and has had eight songs in the Billboard Top 10:  “Bubbly” (which reached #1), “Fallin’ For You” (#2), “Brighter Than The Sun” (#2), “I Never Told You” (#3), “Realize” (#6), “Try” (#6), “I Do” (#7), and with Jason Mraz “Lucky” (#9).

“In 2016, Caillat – renowned beach lover – released her last album, The Malibu Sessions. The result was a sun-kissed collection of breezy, buoyant, yet often vulnerable, songs, with timeless harmonies, catchy melodies and a harmonious vibe that recalls classic ‘70s rock.”

Tickets for the Colbie Caillat and Gone West show are priced at $49 in advance (fee-free!). There are also premium seats – beach chairs are provided by the Series – set in two rows directly in front of the stage for $149. Tickets for this show will go on sale Wednesday, April 17th at 10 a.m. through Lowell Summer Music Series. Children under 12 are always free – parents, this is a great way to introduce your kids to live music in a safe, family-friendly environment. Don’t forget their ear protection!

For those of you who are unaware of the Series, or if you are aware of it but have never attended a show there, it is an outdoor (weather permitting) concert series held on National Park Service grounds in Lowell, Massachusetts. The Series is not-for-profit, which helps keep the ticket prices reasonable.

Surrounding Boarding House Park are old mill buildings, part of the Lowell National Historical Park, which you can tour if you arrive early enough. They provide an unusual setting for an evening of great music and ambiance.

The Series generally runs from mid-June to early September.

This Series is dear to my heart. I have been a season pass holder since 2007 and it is one of the highlights of the year (and of summer in particular) for me. Many lasting friendships have been made there. I expect this will be another excellent year!

I will post additional announcements for the Series as they are made.
