Blues Legend Johnny Winter Performs
As much as I wanted to see Johnny Winter perform, I was a bit apprehensive about seeing this show; I was worried that his reported health issues would prevent this from being a quality show. I’m pleased to report that my fears went unfounded – Johnny is still very much a master!

Joe Ely Crosses Genres
Joe Ely is another artist whose music I know but not well; I had wanted to see him, either solo or with The Flatlanders, for a while but always had conflicts. I was thrilled when some local solo acoustic shows were announced AND I could get to one of them!

Delbert Gave It Up For Our Love
Friday night, I saw a fabulous blues musician who I’d never seen perform – Delbert McClinton.
What a performer! It was obvious to me that he’s a seasoned musician who enjoys what he does. He appeared to love playing at Bull Run, which is an intimate venue. The stage is a mere inches off the floor and the tables start close to the stage which makes it easy for the artists to engage the audience. Read the rest of this entry
