Go See Girls Guns And Glory Now!
I was quite excited for the Girls Guns and Glory show at The Sinclair recently. Not only is this one of my favorite bands, but Julie Rhodes – another favorite – opened the show! How great is it to be able to see friends knock it out of the park at a wonderful venue with an alleviating audience that was large despite competing with a Patriots playoff game!

Hitch A Ride On Rayland Baxter’s Rising Star
I was very excited to see this show at Brighton Music Hall; I bought Rayland Baxter’s album when I was in Nashville last year (he was in the local artists section) and it has been on regular rotation on my iPod since then.

Rayland (sometimes stylized as rayLand) is an alt-country musician who has recently broken into the national scene. I believe he played at the Newport Folk Festival in 2014 or 2015, but did not release an album until last year.
Incredible Roots Rock Blues Show By The Alvin Brothers
After seeing Dave Alvin and Phil Alvin and The Guilty Ones perform at a festival last summer, I knew I had to see their headlining show at The Sinclair. Dave and Phil recently returned to performing and recording together; the joy they feel while sharing a stage is obvious and the audience could feel it too.
Last year, they released the Grammy-nominated Common Ground, a tribute to legendary bluesman Big Bill Broonzy, and performed many songs from that album. Read the rest of this entry
Outlaw Country At The Extended Play Sessions
The Extended Play Sessions American Roots Music Television announced that outlaw country act The Far West (currently touring with Dave and Phil Alvin) will be in the studio for a Session on Monday, March 23rd at 7 pm. This Session sounds like it will be another one not to miss!
