Another Great Act Coming To The Lowell Summer Music Series Lineup

The David Grisman Sextet is making its first appearance at the Lowell Summer Music Series on Saturday, August 19th! I have seen Grisman perform a number of times, both with the Sextet as well as Del McCoury, and he is always wonderful!

A Freshgrass Kind Of Sunday

I was lucky enough to attend both full days (there is a small line-up on Friday evening which I was unable to attend) of the Freshgrass Festival in the Berkshires. Saturday was a long but fabulous day, and Sunday was no less than that.

Initial Musings on the Freshgrass Festival

While it’s fresh in my mind, I want to tell you a little bit about the fourth annual Freshgrass Festival, held each September in North Adams, Massachusetts at Mass MoCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art). I have not had a chance to look at the 1,500 photos I took, so those will follow in my full review.
