Singer-Songwriter Event At The Extended Play Sessions
The Extended Play Sessions American Roots Music Television announced that Boston-area singer songwriters Ian Fitzgerald and Brian Carroll will be in the studio for a Session on Thursday, April 16th at 7 pm. As always, this Session sounds like it will be another one not to miss!

Three Incredible Singer-Songwriters Warmed A Cold Winter’s Night
I attended my first house concert – the Fox Run Concert Series – because of the strength of the performers; I also heard they can be very cool. Mark Erelli, Charlie Rose, and Susan Cattaneo are musicians I saw perform at least once each last year and was impressed each time. This opportunity to see them in an intimate setting – my guess is that there were 40-50 people in attendance – was one I could not forgo.

David Olney Rocked The 5 Spot
One of Nashville’s great session musicians, Sergio Webb, told me I should see David Olney perform if I ever got the chance. Not too long after that, I booked my trip to Nashville and was thrilled to see that David would be performing at The 5 Spot while I was there! Score!
David’s name was not familiar to me but I listened to some recordings, and knew that I would take Sergio’s advice and see this show. Read the rest of this entry
Triple-Header Singer-Songwriter Show
This summer, the Lowell Summer Music Series presented a few new types of shows for us. One of them, a slate of three singer-songwriters, was held on another glorious evening last month. Heather Maloney, Adam Ezra, and Ben Taylor were the musicians we saw.
The show consisted of 45 minute sets from Heather and Adam, and 75 minutes from Ben. Adam was first to the stage.
