‘Waitress’ Serves Something Scrumptious

The scent of ‘sugar… butter… flour… love…’ was in the air as I entered the American Repertory Theater last night.

I first read about ‘Waitress’, a musical based on the 2007 film of the same title, early last winter when it was announced that Diane Paulus would direct, Sara Bareilles would compose the music and lyrics, and Jessie Nelson would write the book.

A Magical Production of ‘The Tempest’

First, let me admit that I’m not an enormous fan of Shakespeare’s plays. I read a few plays in high school that were required reading and have read nothing of his since then.

“The Seagull” Soared At The Huntington Theatre Company

After reading a review of Anton Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull‘ as well as an interview with the star of the play, Kate Burton, I realized I should not miss this production.
