The Get Right Band Funked Up The House!
This was my third time seeing The Get Right Band, an Asheville-based funky rock band, at The Extended Play Sessions, and I am not growing tired of them in the least!

The Get Right Band
This band needs to be seen live to be fully appreciated; they have an energy as well as a way of connecting with their audience that makes them stand out.

An Evening Of Jazz Artistry
I would be less than honest if I said anything less than “Al DiMeola is one of my favorite musicians, jazz or otherwise”, and his performance last night at the Berklee Performance Center supported that opinion.
Al made a triumphant return to his former stomping grounds (I suppose I can’t call it an alma mater since he never graduated) on Halloween for the last show of his US Elegant Gypsy & More 2015 tour.
Honky Tonk Rocked The Middle East
I had not heard of Whitey Morgan and the 78’s until I met Tony Martinez, one of Whitey’s guitarists as well as the opening act, in Nashville last month. When Tony told me about this show at the Middle East Upstairs, I promised I would be there.
I think Tony was surprised that I was, but I keep my word (and I knew that I didn’t have a show previously scheduled that night)!
Anthony Geraci Delivered Chicago Blues To A Delighted Audience
The Fallout Shelter at The Extended Play Sessions was stuffed to the gills for this CD release show by Anthony Geraci and the Boston Blues All-Stars, and not a soul left disappointed in this amazing performance by Boston-based blues royalty.
The album, Fifty Shades of Blue, released the day of this show and the excitement – both from the audience and the band – was palpable as they took the stage.
Spine-Tingling Harmonies And Instrumentation Filled The Armory To The Rafters
I was nearly giddy with anticipation as I headed to Arts at the Armory to see two of my favorite bands. The headliner was Darlingside performing the first release show for their latest album, Birds Say. Opening for them was Laney Jones and the Spirits.
I was first in line to get through the doors, but fast at my heels were fans of one of the bands. They both became fans of the other band by the end of the show!
