I cannot tell you how excited I am that Rhiannon Giddens is returning to the Lowell Summer Music Series on September 5th! She is one of my favorite performers, regardless of the iteration, and I missed her previous appearance at the Series due to a bout of temporary insanity that caused me to move away from Boston!

Another first-time act is coming to the Lowell Summer Music Series on July 18th – a Chicago (the band, not the city) tribute band from Moscow called Leonid & Friends.

The Town and The City Festival Is Fast Approaching!
The second annual The Town and The City Festival is in Lowell, Massachusetts this weekend, October 18 and 19. If last year’s festival is any indication, this year’s festival will be incredible.
Composed of mostly Boston-area artists, the lineup contains both well-known and up-and-coming artists. Spread across venues in downtown Lowell, there are artists that appeal to a myriad of tastes.
Another Double Bill Added To The Lowell Summer Music Series Lineup
The Lowell Summer Music Series is bringing two rocking first-timers to the stage at Boarding House Park. The Stompers and The Fools appear on Saturday, August 31st. I do not know anything about either band, so I look forward to getting to know some more new artists!

Classic Albums Live is returning for the fourth time to the Lowell Summer Music Series to do Queen’s A Night at the Opera! I only saw one of their previous shows (Abbey Road) but since this is the year of Queen, I am making sure I do not miss this show!

An Excellent Double Bill Announced At The Lowell Summer Music Series
Two veteran acts are joining forces to each present a full set at the Lowell Summer Music Series on Saturday, August 24th. Toad the Wet Sprocket and Big Head Todd and the Monsters is the newcomer; I made the mistake of not seeing Toad the last time because I went to a birthday party instead (I’ll never make that mistake again) and while I’ve seen Big Head Todd, I did not see last year’s show because I was living elsewhere (I won’t make that mistake again either).
