Hip-hop bluegrass you’re saying to yourself – how could that be? I said the same when I saw them on Johnny D’s schedule for April 2014. I went to the show not knowing any of their music and walked out of that show knowing I had stumbled onto something amazing.

Passim Announces 2015 Iguana Music Fund Grants
25 grants totaling over $40,000 awarded to musicians to enhance careers and support community outreach projects
Cambridge, MA December 22, 2015 – Passim announced today the recipients of the 2015 Iguana Music Grants awarded annually to musicians in an effort to enhance their careers or aid their community outreach efforts. Marking the Cambridge organization’s 8th year of grant making, over $40,000 has been awarded to help fund 25 different musicians and their projects.
What Only My Concert Buddies Understand
This is a marvelous piece about the power of live music. This expresses one of the goals of this website – to get people to go out and hear live music.
It’s the only way most musicians are making any money. Not by the sale of CDs. Not by the downloading of songs.

I first saw Kingsley Flood perform a number of years ago (perhaps five) at the Lowell Summer Music Series and thoroughly enjoyed their opening set. I am thrilled that their career has been on a steady rise since then, and was excited to attend this EP release show.
