Kingsley Flood Will Rock You
I have been a fan of Kingsley Flood since I first saw them perform at the Lowell Summer Music Series at least six years ago, and the love continues.

Another Other
They recently released a new album – Another Other – which is their most personal album to date, and it will be featured at their upcoming show at The Sinclair on Friday, November 18th. Tickets are still available here and you need to be at the show! Both openers – Leland Sundries and Jenny Dee and the Deelinquents – are killer and you should catch them too.
Americana/Roots Rocker You Want To Know
I was lucky enough to see The Texas Gentlemen and Friends at Newport Folk Festival this year; they delivered one of my favorite sets of the Festival. The Gentlemen are a collaborative of Texas musicians, one of whom is guitarist Kirby Brown.

I spoke with Kirby later that day and then ran into him and several other Gentlemen at the Americana Music Association Festival and Conference a couple of months later. I am now the lucky recipient of his new EP Out of Exile 1 and I love it!
Why Did I Not Think Of This???
Music and food is a perfect combination of sensual pleasures, and how better to honor that relationship but to create an album of songs related to food!
Music Maker Relief Foundation and chef Bill Smith have partnered together to compile the new compilation Biscuits For Your Outside Man to be released June 22 on the Music Maker label. It features one previously unreleased song out of 17 tracks.

An Irish Blues Musician For You To Discover!
One of the most rewarding things about running this website is that I am introduced to musicians I would not be likely to meet (either in person or virtually). David King, an Irish blues and soul guitarist and singer, is one such musician.

Heather Maloney Has A Bright Future
Each time I listen to indie folk artist Heather Maloney’s new album, Making Me Break, I decide on a new favorite song. As I write this, I believe the title song is my favorite but I know that will change.
Susan Cattaneo Penned My New Anthem
I first heard of Susan Cattaneo when she performed in the music of Muscle Shoals, Alabama show last December. I was quite impressed when I heard her perform songs written by others; I am even more impressed with Susan’s songwriting, as evidenced by her newly-released album, “Haunted Heart”.
Susan is a songwriting professor at Berklee College of Music. This is the first album for which she wrote all of the songs, and it’s stunning. Read the rest of this entry
