The next show announcement for the 2016 Lowell Summer Music Series is a big one! Guster, fresh on the heels of two sold-out shows at Boston’s House of Blues, will be making its first appearance at the Series on Saturday, June 11th!

The Lowell Summer Music Series Announcements Keep Rolling!
The fourth show for the 2016 Lowell Summer Music Series has been announced, and it is a jam band. Dr. Dog will be making its first appearance at the Series on Saturday, August 13th!

First Lowell Summer Music Series Announcement

Lake Street Dive Thrilled And Amazed The Huge Audience In Lowell
I am unsure that my words – or anyone’s words, if truth be told – can adequately describe the incredible performance by Lake Street Dive at the penultimate show of the 26th season of the Lowell Summer Music Series.
This band is on a meteoric rise and I am thankful that I have seen them at reasonable sized venues where the sound is good and the audiences well-behaved and appreciative.
A Rare Solo Acoustic (!) Performance By Mr. Warren Haynes
It was a treat to know that the Lowell Summer Music Series would host the only solo appearance by Warren Haynes on the current tour, and even more of a treat to be in the audience for this show.
Haynes is widely regarded as one of the finest guitarists ever (number 23 on one of Rolling Stone‘s top 100 lists), and it is well deserved.
Trombone Shorty Brought The Funk To Lowell
I have now seen Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue enough times (at least eight) to know that the band delivers a fantastic high-energy show, but this show at the Lowell Summer Music Series surpassed any expectations I had.
It was a gorgeous night in Boarding House Park – not humid, not hot (at least not after the sun passed behind the buildings), and, most important, not raining – and the crowd was ready to par-tay!
That’s Right, Lowell Loves Lyle Lovett
For the fourth time in the past six seasons of the Lowell Summer Music Series, Lyle Lovett played to a sold-out (or nearly sold-out) crowd in Boarding House Park; three times with his Large Band and once with his smaller Acoustic Band.
I fall more in love with Lovett each time I see him. He is one of the classier musicians I have seen, in addition to being one of the most talented and generous.
