Yes? YES, please!
YES is one of those bands I listened to a lot back in the early 1970s. Their progressive rock style appealed to me and many of my friends, and I even saw them once then. Fast forward to 2017 and there are two versions of YES featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman which tour. I was fortunate to see this version at the lovely Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

Trombone Shorty Rocked The Sold-Out Audience!
As some of you may know, I relocated to South Florida a couple of months ago (yes, just in time to evacuate for Hurricane Irma). Seeing one of my favorites, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, at Revolution Live was an incredible way to start my inroad into the local music scene! I also finally saw Dumpstaphunk, a band I have been jonesing to see live!

Here Are The Final Additions To The AMERICANAFEST℠ Line-up!
The Americana Music Association is thrilled to bring to you today the last round of almost 300 artists slated to perform at this year’s AMERICANAFEST℠!

More friends have been added to the line-up and I am incredibly excited for them! Not only are friends performing, but also some of my favorite bands so I can already tell I am going to have a difficult time deciding what showcases to see.
This is an amazing festival and conference. I know no matter what I see, though, I will hear fabulous music!

Help Keep Live Music Alive!
Anyone who knows me, or reads this website, knows how much I adore the Fallout Shelter (also referred to as the Extended Play Sessions). The venue had to close suddenly in December and it has been missed!
Please read the following that was released by the new venue, the Grass Roots Cultural and Performing Arts Center, and consider donating.
A New Crowdfunding Opportunity

If you click on the link to The Lullaby Project above, you can read more about the project and contribute to it as well. I have had the privilege of seeing Felipe perform and know how good he is. I hope you will consider contributing to the worthy project as well.
Make Music Day In Boston
I was invited to photograph as much of Make Music Boston, part of the worldwide Make Music Day celebrations, as I could. Free events were scattered around the city as well as a few events in nearby suburbs.

I went to Boston Common to photograph a few sets during my lunch ‘hour’. This is an annual event held on the Summer Solstice. Mark your calendars for 2018!
Never Underestimate The Power Of Positive Vibrations…
Especially at the hands of Michael Franti & Spearhead, who appeared at the Lowell Summer Music Series last weekend.

While the heavy rains forced the show to be held indoors, nothing dampened the spirits of either the band or the audience, who was on its feet before the show even began!
