A Magical Evening of Amazing Harmonicas and Guitar
I first saw Shun Ng perform early last year at a show that was called An Afternoon of Extraordinary Guitars. That moniker did not overstate the talent on stage that day, so I eagerly anticipated seeing him at The Extended Play Sessions with Magic Dick, the harmonica player with the J. Geils Band.

Fabulous Americana Triple-Header At The Sinclair
Two of my favorite bands to see live – Darlingside and David Wax Museum – along with an artist who was new to me, Anthony D’Amato, played a marvelous show to a sold-out crowd in March at The Sinclair. I was fortunate to be in the house that night and witness the reaction of people who had seen only one of the co-headliners when they saw the other co-headliner! Both bands got many new fans that evening.

Soulful Blues? Bluesy Soul?
The fabulous Canadian blues artist Matt Andersen made his way south of the border for a tour supporting his most recent release, Honest Man, and I was fortunate to be able to see not one but two of his shows! This Extended Play Sessions show was the second of those shows, and by now I knew his new album very well.

Much Music Royalty Was On Stage This Night
After seeing Professor Louie perform with Guy Davis the previous month at The Extended Play Sessions, we eagerly anticipated the performance by Professor Louie & The Crowmatix. Our patience was rewarded by a fabulous show (not that any of us were surprised)!

The Stunning Vocals Of Lisa Fischer
I had no idea what to expect – other than hearing a great vocalist – when I stepped into the auditorium at Newton North High School to see Lisa Fischer, one of the stars of 20 Feet from Stardom, perform at a benefit concert in support of Historic Newton.
